Perito Moreno Glacier, declared as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO in 1981, is located 80 kilometers away from El Calafate.
We will pick you up from your Hotel and leave the city behind while observing Argentino Lake and it Bahía Redonda that is home for a large birdlife variety (black-necked swan, flamingos and steam duck among others).
The first 40 kilometers we will drive along the Patagonian Steppe where the yellow color is the protagonist due to it main pasture, the Coirón. Once at Los Glaciares National Park, landscape changes and we get into the Patagonian Forest.
Infront of the Glacier we will be shocked with the view of this large frozen mass that comes down from the Continental Patagonian Ice Field. We will have some free time to explore the different paths and balconies to get the best views. There are more than 4 kilometers of walkways to choose with different levels of difficulty. The guide will help you to choose the most convenient options according to your preferences an physical condition.
At the time set by the guide we will meet at Puerto Moreno, at the end of the coastal trail, to board an small ship that will take us close to the Northen wall od Perito Moreno Glacier. This navigation takes about 1 hour.
